Definitely sharper and smarter when the black arrows under the photo are clicked!

This afternoon we visited Brooklyn Reserve looking for fungi.  After recent rain and warm conditions we had expected to find an abundance of new growth.

Sadly, there were few to be seen. This was one of only three discovered, along with a number of bracket fungi of various sizes.

It was still an enjoyable visit and of course we will return.
