Blue door

Time to add to my occasional series #doorwaysoftain, a day later than I expected to do.

There's much about this doorway that is classic for Tain. Rubble built walls. A split front door, followed by a small porch, and then another door into the house. This is on Academy Street, but there are many other examples around the town.

It was exceptionally warm for April - my watch said 20 degrees at one point. We leave the heater in the living room on a thermostat and it normally does kick in some time during the evening, except in high summer. Not today. Mr A did some laundry in the morning, but neither of us remembered to put it out on the line until I finally did it around 5pm. I went back at 8pm and brought it in, and it was almost dry.

Although it was a brilliantly sunny day, we didn't get out anywhere because I had meetings right through the middle of the day. However, we went out in the garden with a beer once I'd finished and made a few plans for tomorrow which I'm going to take as holiday.
