Cinque Terre Day 4

Our penultimate day here. We started with a train to Corniglia, the only town of the five we’d not visited. There is a walk up to the town from the station (or a shuttle bus). We walked, 33 flights of steps (383 in total)! It’s the smallest of the towns with lots of narrow alleys and steps to explore. We walked back down and took the train to Riomaggiore. From there we took the recently reconstructed walkway (Via dell'Amore) back to Manarola. It’s beautifully constructed. We went back by train to our hotel and then back to Manarola (thank goodness for the train pass that allows you to come and go as you please between the towns). We had booked a boat trip to see the towns from the water, originally this was booked for yesterday but was postponed due to yesterday’s weather. Thankfully we had a beautiful evening and we stayed out on the water until sunset. A lovely way to spend our last evening here.
