Spring evening
... on the way back from yoga, a quick stop and blip as I hadn't taken any photos all day. I liked the way the tiny shoots of newly planted vines in the foreground were caught by the sun, but it was difficult to make anything of it in the bright backlight. I did my best! You'll need to go large to get the full effect.
To the airport with S first thing. It was so foggy that we had the fog lights on. We've had this car for nearly seven years and used them so rarely that S was fumbling around trying to work out where the switch was. The fog was a bit thinner in Carcassonne and the screen claimed the flight was on time, so I dropped him off and went to do some shopping, only to get a WhatsApp from him to say the plane was delayed for unspecified reasons. Systems for landing and taking off in fog at Carcassonne airport are non-existent, so I checked Flightradar and sure enough I was able to tell him that the plane had circled a few times and was currently heading for Toulouse. The fog did clear pretty rapidly once the sun was higher, and the plane eventually showed up two hours late, without the incoming passengers who'd had to get on a bus.
Still, it wasn't that inconvenient as he was able to get a later train at no extra cost, and since this train was running over two hours late, he should get a full refund on his ticket anyway. The car hire people stayed a bit late at the office so he was able to pick up the car.
His day was more exciting than mine. Yoga involved a lot of writhing around with twisted limbs -- the half hour of lying down at the end provided welcome relief. I ignored all the talk of chakras and gently dozed. Pizza for dinner again.
