Thursday: Garden Wild Flowers
Weather as it has been for last couple of weeks, chilly wind from the sea but a fine sunny day.
Early morning shopping at Lidl and Iceland then an early lunch.
MrD went off on his motorbike for the afternoon. I made a panful of broccoli and Stilton soup which we both enjoyed this evening.
I took a few walks around the garden, I love seeing all the wild flowers which find their way into my garden. Today’s Blip is of Dog Violet, Red Campion, Herb Robert and white bitter cress - these flowers and many others feed all the pollinators with nectar, then the birds eat the seeds and many other wild creatures use the leaves as food or just for shelter, I hope you learn to look at our native plants as useful not just “weeds”!
This is a very well presented video on the subject of “Dandelions” which always reminds me of my “Big Sister” Margaret who sadly went to Heaven last summer xx
