Standing Motion
On this day I actually went on a perilous walk over the UK's highest inland cliff with Michael. On giddy's edge - appropriately named as it makes you feel giddy when passing - we literally clambered alongside the cliff edge, with only about 2-3 foot between the cliff face and a sheer drop down to the ground, which lingered god-knows how far beneath. It was my sort of day out, living life on the edge, literally! I didn't get any great photos up there as we took most of them on Michael's old-school film camera (which I love, hopefully share photos soon). The area was drop-dead gorgeous though, a really twee little town lay beneath the monstrous looming cliff face. This photo was taken on a wee bridge at the bottom of the cliff face, crossing the river. I was showing michael a technique I learned where you hold the shutter down as you spin the camera around the lens between your hands - with this really intriguing result. I like it as it brings a motion to a relatively stagnant object, but the tunnel like form of the bridge really draws your eye into the image.
