Greenery and light..
so pretty, reminiscent
of a time Before!

Mr KCNQ2Haiku is back from his mammoth trip to Edinburgh and London :-) Ben has had a hair cut and I talked the mobile barber into giving me a quick trim so that was a win. Leo and I had a sunny walk in the woods, I was struck that the greenery and light was so similar to twenty years ago in Georgetown, Washington DC when Mr KCNQ2Haiku asked me to marry him. Talking about it tonight we both agree it feels longer ago than that.. which is probably quite damning!! It was an awesome holiday though, I had collected tokens out of the newspaper (The Independent I think..) over a period of 40 days or something and there was a draw to win flights to US cities. I picked Washington as I thought it might be less popular than the LA/Florida type stuff and every day my colleagues laughed as I clipped and saved the tokens but I was Super Smug when the letter came to say I’d won. And then Mr(Master)KCNQ2Haiku took the ring on the flight, wrapped in birthday paper incase airport security flagged it on an X-ray, so it wouldn’t spoil the surprise.. and we came back engaged. Fun times!
But enough reminiscing, nearly time to read bedtime stories!!
