Sow Thistle, WFW25_01

The common sow thistle is apparently so-named because of its attractiveness to pigs, although in my experience pigs are not too discerning in what they eat! It is often found on roadsides and waste ground. This one had seeded itself beside our garden pond, and not a pig in sight!
