Grumpy Old Man

Café with a view

And still the sun shines! Apparently this month Scotland has received 64% of the normal rainfall for March with England and Wales only 24%. Difficult times ahead.

Spent quite a while in the garden today - a new set of leg joints would be useful! Looking for a shrub to replace the palm in the large pot and went for Grevillea rosmarinifolia, which although a native of SE Australia has come through this winter outside with no damage. Fortunately the bucket of stones which came out of the palm planting hole filled up the bottom of the Grevillea pot - useful recycling!

I needed some more compost so MrsM and I drove to Poppies Garden Centre, the only supplier left in Oban now. We stayed there for lunch in the café - this is the view across the bay to Dunstaffnage Castle.

Came home and sat outside with a cuppa for a while - the sky is beginning to show what might be a change in the weather with some hazy clouds. We’ll see!
