Raking the Sand
The wind has changed to a westerly and it feels so much hotter. The sun is blazing out of an azure sky and the Meadows are alive with bodies. It seems that everyone is aware that this spell of sunny dry weather is about to drift away into the North Sea and they are determined to wring as much sunshine out of the sky as they can. I sat out in the sun as long as I could but eventually had to come inside to cool off.
The beach was a vast expanse this morning as the tide was out past the groyne, not my favourite scenario , but it did look quite summery with the tractor raking the sand. I imagine it will not look as quiet as this later in the day. It was such a plus to get dressed in sunshine and then get all the clobber dried outside when I got home. If only this could last for another week but I can already hear the gardeners saying how much they need rain.
