Visiting
We had a surprise visit this afternoon from an old colleague of D’s. D lived with James for a couple of months when they both started work in Dumfries 28 years ago. I was left behind in Aberdeen with two children and another one on the way. D left for Dumfries on the day that Diana died. We all moved into our new house in October and Luke was born at the beginning of December.
James, like D, retired some time ago and he now lives near Sedbergh. He drove up here in his pride and joy - a 1927 Alvis “Beetleback”. Extra shows “Wilfred” the radiator cap, from James’s grandfather’s car.
So that was the afternoon…I spent the morning doing a Dunscore litter picking. Tonight I am off to the theatre with Tina, to see “Far From the Madding Crowd”
