cigar box guitar

Sam has been working on a building cigar box guitar as a project for his summer holidays. He's been doing really well and this afternoon we got the strings on for a test and it made a guitar like sound, even plugged it into his amp for a bit.

Its been a good project with lots of measuring, using power tools, sawing, lateral thinking looking for bits to adapt ... the sound hole is a ventilation cover, the strings held on with a hinge, the bridge is a pencil.

Now the frets (which is tricky) and the varnishing (which is easier).
