Living my dream

We are having a few cracking sunny days and the last blooms of the year are soaking it up.

The red dahlias have quite a bit of life left in them, which is amazing given the amount of neglect they experience Chez M&B. I really cannot be very bothered with weeding and tidying the 'pretty beds' when there is work to be done in the productive garden, which is 90% of the time.

It has been one of those days which has whooshed past. All morning was delightfully spent gardening and chattering with G.

Then after lunch the Soapmaker popped over to help me stabilise a bit of decking outside the new cabin. That inevitably morphed into a cup of tea and more chattering.

When he left I suddenly realised we hadn't had a walk, so off we went to Paradise Gully Road, where we bumped into N.

Guess what? Yup...more chattering.

It is my lovely Dad's birthday today. He would have been 103. I raised a cup of tea and thanked him from the bottom of my heart for being.
