Hooky

Big swim before breakfast then pottering about in the house with bits and pieces for the rest of the day. That half of the family went to the book festival in the afternoon, this half stayed at home.

But then out in the evening to Charlotte Square to the event with Peter Hook talking about his latest "Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division" book. Hooky's always been good value and he was very entertaining. It kind of helped that I was a massive fan of Joy Division and New Order during my formative years. First thing I did when I got home was reserve the book from the fabulous Edinburgh Library Service. That and his Hacienda one as well. I mean, I like Hooky and all that, and I didn't mind paying for a ticket to see him talk, but pay for his book as well? That's a step too far ;-)
