Begur
We arrived in Begur late morning and spent some time in the Indianos Interpretation centre. Throughout the 19th century, more than 500 people from Begur crossed the Atlantic in search of fortune on the American continent. This footprint means that Begur has an Indian legacy. Those who returned built substantial colonial style townhouses several of which line one of the main streets. We had lunch in a restaurant we discovered last time we were here. The food was Colombian and the €15 course meal excellent value and very tasty. The starters were a goat cheese salad and spicy burritos followed by chicken and pork dishes. Mrs TT shared my pork joint and we took a quarter chicken back for tea which was too much for her. We both had panna cotta for dessert. In the evening we walked down to one of the local coves, a steep 20 minute descent. The climb back up was something of a lung buster!
