Dogs-tooth

Was down at Redbraes with the WoL crew this morning - most were litter-picking or wading for litter, I swept some steps. Several folk were asking what this flower was - I can remember seeing it before but couldn't remember the common name. Someone looked it up on an app and after a few strange suggestions it came up with Erythronium - looked it up when I got home and of course it's a dogs-tooth violet. (Doesn't look much like a violet - closest relative probably a tulip....)

The few-flowered garlic/leek is really getting going along the riverbank (extra) - it may be crowding out the normal wild garlic.
