The Little Gem, Aylesford

Before the advent of micropubs, people setting up bars in their front porch, The Little Gem claimed to be the smallest pub in Kent. This is the full width of the building; it goes back a bit and there is a small balcony. It's had a rough time and closed for about ten years, I have a feeling that I blipped it during that time, but it was bought out by Goachers - a local brewery - and refurbished. It's supposed to be back in good nick.  When the fish & chip van is visiting the village the pub advertises it, allows people to book tables, and takes pre-orders so that the F&C people know how much to stock.

I was over this way to get some shopping and I thought that it would be nice to have a walk in Aylesford; it was. And no, I didn't go in.
