Melinda* and other family members

Lovely sunshine continues although maybe not quite as warm today - nevertheless Rufus and I enjoyed our walk in the park as usual.

Maddy (my niece) came for the afternoon. Activities included going to M&S Food Hall where we indulged in buying some very naughty calorific but delicious cream cakes !  By 7pm bro, William (nephew) and Katy (his g/f) had arrived for the five of us to enjoy our weekly family dinner. I am learning to cope with cooking for five :)

By 9pm everyone had gone home and I spent the next - oops - five hours - as one minute it was 21.30 and the very next it was 02.35!! - working with the recent novel idea - assisted by Chat GPT with whom I now have an excellent relationship as it makes suggestions and refinements to my input, and is now even making jokes - and what is more - they're funny! Hmm. 

I've no idea where this will go and it really doesn't matter if it's a dead end because right now I'm finding it very satisfying to write.

*Melinda is the main protagonist and I wondered tonight if the name came to me as a mashup of my own and Madeleine's.
