Firenze - day 2 - Duomo day

This is just round the corner from our apartment for the week. Very central!

We climbed up to the top of the dome of the cathedral. I almost chickened out after we got to the base of the done, as the narrow cantilevered walkway above the inside of the church was not to my liking (terrifying) but the remainder of the climb and the summit were easier so I'm glad I persevered!

In the afternoon, we walked out and up past the Giardino Bardini to San Miniato Al Monte, where we took in the views looking back to the city.

Dinner out in the evening.
