Vaulty Towers

Many blippers, and not just those in the UK, will, I'm sure, "get" the cultural reference in the name of this wine bar in Lower Marsh, a street that runs behind Waterloo station leading to Westminster Bridge Road. I'll say no more at this stage, save to say that British humour often centres on the tragi-comic misfit, lacking self-awareness and railing against imaginary or inanimate foes. I suppose I could characterise a certain world leader in the same way except he's not at all funny. I was in London today to conduct some interviews which will go on for the rest of this week and into next. They are being held in  meeting rooms, rather than the usual Westminster venue, which is very handy for me as the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station. I may treat myself to a glass of wine at the end of the week in the resonantly named establishment, assuming the bar manager doesn't take an irrational dislike of me.
