Fish Supper
Much further away than I woud have liked so quite a massive crop on the original capture.
A little grebe, Tachybaptus ruficollis , on Kinghorn Loch. It had just surfaced with a small fish. Beads of water on its back glistened like jewels in the afternoon sun.
I was surprised not to see any swans and checked three of their previous nesting sites. One had a nesting greylag goose in residence, the others were empty. Maybe they were just hiding out somewhere.
