Tiny Violet

For Tiny Tuesday. Our lawn is full of them. Maybe it’s the very DRY spell of weather we’re having. Thanks to Incredibish for hosting.

Poor HB has been suffering from a sore head since the weekend. This morning the redness had blisters all over his forehead and spread into his right eye and down the right side of his face so I thought we should try to get an appointment with the duty Doctor at our Health Centre. We got an appointment for 11:30 with a very nice young lady Doctor who instantly diagnosed shingles. She prescribed the relevant medication and made another appointment with a senior Doctor for Mr HB on Friday.

We’ve had a quiet day, Mr HB has slept for a lot of it and I’ve sat in the sunshine reading and enjoying the birdsong:

European Robin
Eurasian Blackbird
Eurasian Collared Dove
Bluetit
Magpie
Common Wood pigeon
House Sparrow and Dunnock. So my new ‘Merlin’ Bird ID app told me, and I saw a beautiful Redkite thermalling quietly overhead until it was harassed by something small and black? and was seen off.
