The photo bomber!
I had a GP appointment this morning to request 1) a hearing test 2) an X-ray for my sore right wrist, injured when I slipped in the bath at the Manchester airport hotel on March 9th 3) X-ray of sore toe that I may have broken a few years ago.
She was excellent. It may be that the fall has upset longstanding arthritis in my thumb. I’ll have a X-ray but may need a steroid injection. She referred me for a hearing test and to the podiatrist who might suggest a toe separator. Anything to keep me walking!
Then I collected Margret to come with me to The Sill where North Tyne Voices were singing. I sang in the first set, then took Margret to Twice Brewed for lunch. The queue at The Sill was very long and they estimated 40 minutes before being served.
Margret had a cheese soufflé starter and I had wild mushrooms and tarragon on toast. Both were delicious. Margret had ice cream too. It was quiet and sunny.
We enjoyed our outing together.
I drove through Humshaugh to see the flowers and slowly past Margret’s so she could see the snake’s head fritillaries in her garden.
Later I returned to capture this one. It’s marvellous to see insects at work.
