Mobile Cranes

Two cranes were spotted near Birsay yesterday, and a great white egret nearby also, so I headed up today to look for them. No sign of the egret. The cranes were in the far corner of a ploughed field, so distant shots, but I was pleased to see them. Just the 2nd and 3rd I have seen in Orkney, though the 1st was much more confiding, being close to a Deerness road for several days some years back.
