Holiday break Day 2

Morning at Caerlaverock WWT wetland Reserve.
It is especially known for Barnacle Geese. In the late Autumn there can be hundreds of them here when they have flown South from their Arctic Summer breeding grounds.
Now most of them have gone back North but there are a few laggards left and I managed to get one for my Blip.
This afternoon we had a lazy time in the village of Kipford which is on an a river running into the Solway Firth. We were here really in memory of old Arnside friends, no longer with us, but who spent their holidays here every year for some decades.
