Wicked!
Eda ….on top of the rainbow!
After giving the girls their breakfasts this morning I gave them some gifts we had brought. Geckos( lizards) from Mallorca and a sparkly top each. Jude’s has a sparkling swan and Eda’s, you can see here, says ‘WICKED’ in green or pink sequins. You can have them either way but she has chosen to have the letters in alternate colours. I wanted her to have it before her show performance tonight in The Wizard of Oz. I knew she’d like it. It has Glynda and Elphaba on the back in pink and green saying, ‘Pink and Green go well together’.
Crazily they are going off to see their dance teacher in a Panto performance of Wizard of Oz this afternoon at the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton, Bristol. Not the same one as Eda
Chris and I walked into Bath calling at Landrace in Walton Street for some pastries and take away coffee to enjoy sitting outside in the sun. It’s all change from last time we visited and there are more changes to come as they open an additional cafe in the building they have bought next door. It’s certainly very popular. I had to get a Cardamon bun to take home too!
A few shopping items to get in the city centre which had a very festive summer air. We stopped to watch a guy playing a fiddle whilst walking on a tight rope - as you do! Extra
I wondered about freespiral’s son who used to do this sort of thing in Bristol?
Once we’d both had a bag full to carry we headed past the Abbey for the bus. We get the one on London Rd that will drop us off at the bottom of the drive to Bailbrook House. We chose this route as though all are up hill it is less steep than the ascent from Larkhall. Also I knew that today the drive would be lined with masses of wild primroses. A bonus was that there were also lots of wild violets too. Extra. Their were daffs but they have gone over down here.
When we got back, I put some washing out and we had a cuppa and sat in the sun on the terrace, it’s a real sun trap and was soon too hot for me.
It will be all go when they get back, we will be having a quick meal of the casserole I brought down as they will be all heading out to see Eda’s show tonight. We go tomorrow so she has someone at each performance.
I have some sewing jobs to do tonight!
Another lovely day
