Moggy Madness

We weren't up too late today as Brian had a job interview. It was at the place he should have had an interview last week, but they'd put the position on freeze. It seems they have decided to go ahead with it after all.... 
He said he thought it went well.

While he was out I dealt with a couple more things that needed doing. One of which was cancelling my parents' Sky subscription. I had tried to do it after my Dad had passed away, and the person I spoke to could see that on the account. However there was missing information, so they couldn't cancel it... And they can't pay back the money they took either, as the cancellation wasn't complete. At least it is done now. I hope!

The window cleaner came today. Minstrel loves window cleaning day. The window cleaner is not the biggest fan of cats and sometimes I wonder if he charges us extra for the entertainment he provides for Minstrel during the execution of his duties. 

Today Minstrel relaxed on his cat tree while the upstairs windows were done, then sprung into action when the one in front of the tree was being cleaned. In the process,he managed to pull down the net curtain, which made both the window cleaner and himself jump!

Later I went into town to pay back an overpayment of pension to my Dad in a bank. The bank had an excellent second hand book stall for charity, and I bought three books from it. I can never resist those stall!

Whilst I was waiting to hand my £3 to a member of staff my phone rang. It was Brian calling to tell me he had been offered the job he interviewed for this morning. He's taking it, of course, and will start tomorrow.

Excellent news, though it means I will have to clean the whole house top to bottom on my own before Grace comes to stay for the weekend now...

In other news, I've booked to get my eyes tested on Thursday. Hopefully not much will have changed.
