After "The Gasman Cometh"
That's the annual gas boiler service done, plus a minor repair, so it was time to play.
With RHS Wisley on summer opening hours (open until 6pm) there was enough time for me to head over for the late afternoon. Possibly not the best time given the school holidays had started with children's Easter trails around and the continuing glorious warm sunny weather, but once parked and away from the main parts of the garden it was relatively quiet.
In honour of the Mono Monday challenge of The Natural World (thanks StevenG), I set the camera to mono and just took the macro lens with me. I really loved the backlighting on some plants, such as the hairy pasqueflower (extra). My main just had to be this green-veined white butterfly on some snowbells.
