The View from China

Well, not quite from China but it’s the view from the top of Channing House which houses the Chinese consulate. St Mary’s cathedral dominates, the bridges are just visible at the skyline.
We were checking on visa requirements after China brought in a new online application system. Seems there are now 38 countries exempt from needing visas including all of Europe but excluding the UK, so S doesn’t need a visa but I do. Now I wonder why that is? Anyway, the flights are booked so now we just need to settle on where to visit: Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Gansu are definites, the middle part of the trip still needs some thought!
On the sporting front, had an early start on the golf course this morning and a latish finish at the tenpin this evening. Played OK at both but still lost. No change there then.
