Capturing my Journey

Thunderstorm

Incoming. I noticed the dark clouds long before my lightning app went off. First thunderstorm of the year it glanced us but we did get the inflow wind and heavy sleety rain for an hour. I should have known it was coming my hair went like hagrids with the humidity today. I got the garden cleared up hay taken off the strawberry bed and herb garden to be replaced with fleece for now. Still freezing at night. All the birds are arriving. Curlews geese ducks kildeers and many other varieties they are all down in the swamp lovely to hear and see them enjoying using my binoculars I got late last year from my parents. A lovely muddy wet walk seeing them all.

"The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less." - Joseph B. Wirthlin
