Beautiful afternoon walk
Saturday
After another morning at the beach, we enjoyed a beautiful walk on a trail through Bon Secours wildlife refuge, which led us first through a pine forest, coming out at two bodies of water, Gator Lake, predominantly fresh water, separated by a narrow strip of sandy land from a salt water lagoon. The trail followed the narrow strip of land, and then continued around the lagoon a short way, before crossing the sand dunes, and coming out at a beautiful deserted (except for two people) white sandy beach. We walked along the beach a way, then returned the way we’d come. As you can see from my photos we enjoyed some nice sunny intervals into the afternoon, as opposed to the last couple of days.
