Once upon a time...

I went to visit Wernigerode Castle in the Harz Mountains today. I haven't been inside the castle since I was a kid, so it was great see the wonderful antique furniture and decorations again. Most impressive for me was the great ballroom with all its paintings.
Wernigerode itself is a very beautiful little town with lots of half-timbered houses. So if you're ever in the area it is definitly worth a visit.
