Concrete Float

This is a tool used to finish a concrete surface by making it smooth. It is used after a screed has made the surface flat. The float can be a small hand tool, as in the photo, or a larger bull float with a long handle or a power trowel. Note that this artist’s work is protected from the weather. NannaK learned to use a small float during concrete finishing at the island. She learned the technique well, thanks to a good teacher ( not HCB). One more skill of many.
