Not a lotta otters!

I mostly had a 'me' day today. It was lovely to soak up the sunshine, the coconutty smell of the gorse was fabulous. 

I stopped by Valleyfield Pond - no kingfisher or frogs/spawn to be seen there now, just a well-fed heron. 

I walked along the Esk down past Auchendinny to the viaduct looking for otters. I was told there's a family of them can be seen down there. I had no luck this time but ever hopeful for another visit. 

I sat in the garden with my book until we lost the sun again. I can feel the Vitamin D doing its thing already. Not fully dark at 9.30pm - hurrah.
