Bombylius major
(I think that's how you spell it).
I went into the garden after lunch and spotted a few of these flies around the grape hyacinths and Chionodoxa, and was delighted to get this shot.
The morning was catching up with the housework, I hadn't got it done before we went away so thought I'd better blitz it.
The first part of the afternoon was out in the garden, watering, more tidying up and planting out some seedlings. I find I can only do a limited time of the tidying, too much bending and shovelling.
A run with the group on a beautiful evening, there weren't very many because of holidays.
