Life's Little Moments

The Natural World

Another goopy, drippy, chilly day which isn't really idea for outdoor photography.  That being said, I am always drawn to the formation of rain drops on vegetation and so spent a little time in the garden.  My daffodils are at peak (or maybe just a tweak past) bloom right now and the flower heads were heavy with water creating interesting droopy shapes.  I love the tissue-paper that the blossoms leave behind when they break out of the bud.  It has interesting shapes and textures and when you add some rain drops, it is almost magical.  I stacked two images and converted to mono in LR.

As seems to be my "new" norm, I am feeling a fairly high level of anxiety about traveling this week.  I used to not think twice about traveling so having all this anxiety is stressful which just creates more anxiety.  It will all be worth it though when I see my parents on Wednesday.  Tomorrow Hubs is going to take me to the Marriott at the airport when I will spend the night  before catching a flight at 6 am.  Because of the "sinkhole hell" that is happening in northern NJ right now, trying to get to the airport from where we are that early in the morning would just be a nightmare so I will tuck in for the night and be able to sleep in until 4 am.  (She says facetiously).

I am staying away from most of the news right now - it is just bad news on top of bad news.  I respect everyone's right to vote for whom they wish, but I am hard pressed to understand how anyone could feel good about having voted for that man at this moment.  I am living in a country that is being run by Executive Order, which isn't really democracy at all.  Okay, enough of that.  I need to give Jax a hug now.

Big thanks to StevenG for hosting MonoMonday and coming up with today's theme.

Peace...
