The Terrace
Husband took this photo. I unashamedly pinched it off him. (I’ve been busy at work)
He was 7 miles into running the Ullswater Way, which he’s ran countless times before. He always stops here and takes a photo and in the past said he’d like his ashes scattered here!
His request nearly came true. Shortly after this photo he fell on some stones whilst descending. He managed to hobble back to the car park and wash the blood of his face and legs before hitching a lift back to his car (it was only 7 in the morning). He
drove himself to a&e at Penrith who sent him to Carlisle. Five hours later he got home with a broken finger, stretched ligaments in his shoulder and wrist, a cut glued shut beside his eye and sticky plasters on knee, elbow and hands. Oh and a massive bruised ego !
He’s not sure about his ashes up there either anymore!
