There Must Be Magic

Sweet Eats and Unexpected Treats!

On Saturday night, as I was scrolling on Facebook, my attention was arrested by pictures that The Bake Shed had posted of some gorgeous cookies with purple icing. The photos were too good to pass up. I looked up the address and realized that this local cottage bakery is located downhill just five minutes away by bike from where I live.

So I hopped on my bike and down the hill I went. I easily located The Bake Shed, opened up the shed, opened the refrigerator inside, and purchased several of those gorgeous cookies. At night time, feeling snackish, I ate one, and it was delicious. So nice to have something like this in the neighborhood! Shop local!!!

In other news, a package arrived on Saturday with many thoughtful gifts inside it: a garden flag for big sister Barb's butterfly garden, some glass animals, a little spoon that said * Drink Tea * Read Books * Be Happy * to stir my tea. The package was from another Barb, a dear friend my big sister used to hang out with. They did things together one day a week; my sister laughingly called it "Two-Barb Tuesdays."

Of course, Tiny Tiger and the Crittergators had to welcome the newcomers. And I pulled out a picture of Barb and me (the butterfly girls) from my own collection to pose with the flag; Barb would love this so much! Much gratitude to my sister Barb's dear friend Barb (also known by me as Barb2, or B2). It is good to know I'm not the only one who misses my big sister. Thank you for remembering her.

In the photo above, you may see Tiny Tiger in the back, wearing his bow from the cupcake I had last week at my grand-niece Rio's birthday party, the two delightful cookies, and the Crittergators (the tiny red and green dudes) welcoming the owl, caterpillar, cow (?), and pig!

Our soundtrack song is Air Supply, with Sweet Dreams.
