Worthing Birdman

One of the highlights in the Worthing calendar, the Birdman came to town today. Basically, some crazy guys build a large flimsy structure out of balsa wood and net curtains and fling themselves fly off the end of a special platform built on the pier. The first two "benchmark" jumpers who just run and jump off the end to set a target got further than anyone we saw with their carefully constructed "planes".

All good fun though, Warwick Davies was there ("look at that really mini guy" shouts Will).

Will and I went to the park to meet his friend to practice cycling, I felt like I had gone back in time - we used to spend hours there with Daisy practising. Will did lots of laps of the park, with only one major crash when a tree popped out of nowhere.

I have baked a bundt marzipan cake for a picnic tomoz. And that is all x
