Cheers to Mom

Adjusting to being in the two categories it’s no fun to be in on Mother’s Day but God has been mercifully good two years in a row in gifting me with a Villa fixture to distract! Today’s resulted in the prize of a semi-final trip to Wembley and I watched in a location which brought back very happy memories of one of my favourite days spent with Mom. I was able to raise a glass to her and how wonderful she is and could picture her face of joy, as she loved the FA Cup and trips to Wembley, whether she was joining us herself or just waving us off and soaking in the excitement and all the build-up on the television. During Unai Emery’s early tenure, she was a little bit cross with him for not putting enough effort into cup games but I’m sure all is forgiven now! What a Mom she was, I wish I could give her a great big hug!
