Retreat

This word describes the day - retreating from the city, retreating from work, retreating from busyness and noise……embracing creation, the sea and slowing down in the company of dear friends. This was my first visit to Anglesey and we were blessed with beautiful weather to fully appreciate the beauty of the island. Had an amazing walk through pine forest, sand dunes and beach. Followed pilgrim paths on the Island of the Blessed. Had a beach to ourselves for a lovely picnic lunch complete with Prosecco. Paddled on the walk back in a surprisingly warm sea. All in all a wonderful day. So many photos to choose from for blip. In the end I decided on this one taken from the lighthouse on the island - but have included a few extras to give a flavour of the day. Very grateful for it all.
