Too good to burn

On a perfect outdoor day, an indoor picture tells the story. How can I put that lichen on the fire? It will be moved to the wildlife wood-pile at the end of the garden 

I'm not really bubbling with jokes at the moment but maybe this counts as black humour. One of the irritants I'm grappling with is a sore eye. I've got some ointment for it, in a toothpaste-type tube that's about 4cm long, including a long nozzle; the paste comes out in a worm, maybe 1mm wide. Instructions...
- use a mirror
- pull down your bottom eyelid
- look up
- squeeze 1cm of ointment on to the exposed eyelid
- release the lid and close your eye
- don't touch the eyelid or your eye with the nozzle
- do touch the end of your nose with your tongue while you are doing it

OK, one of those I made up, but just think it through. I should search YouTube; maybe there's a genre. I'm glad I have a helpmeet
