A Happy Cherry Tree

M and I were seated in front of the TV at 6am to watch the Japanese F1 Grand Prix. Unfortunately, it was one of the dullest races we’ve seen. I have to confess to returning to bed for an hour after it had finished.

The rest of the day was spent in the garden and it is beginning to take shape after all our hard work.

We’re particularly pleased with the blossom on our little cherry tree. Every year it produces blossom and leaves, but they usually wither and fall before they even fully flower. The leaves do recover a week or two afterwards and then it’s fine until the following spring. This year however, the blossom seems to have bloomed correctly so maybe it’s going to be ok this time.

Our next challenge is to improve the lawn which isn’t very happy at all.
