Lazy Sunday

After spending the last three days running around north west England - and in anticipation of doing much the same on the other side of the Pennines for the next three days - it was definitely time for a rest and a recharge of the batteries today.
After a decent lie-in, we made the most of the warm and sunny day by going for a leisurely stroll along the river and into town for a coffee. Thanks to the lack of rain for the past week or so, we were able to walk on paths that are usually very muddy, or actually under water. The river is so low at the moment that you could probably walk across and not even get your feet wet in some places!
This afternoon was spent doing the ironing whilst watching the Japanese GP highlights. A fairly boring race, due to lack of overtaking opportunities, and - as far as I’m concerned - the wrong person won.
This evening will be spent in a similarly lazy way watching the telly, predominately Celebrity Bake Off and the first in the new series of Grace. Packing for the next couple of days away can be done during the adverts…
