Tales of Tombstones

LJ went to a lecture on how to interpret 17th and 18th century gravestones. So we visited a nice old kirkyard so she could practice deciphering the graveyard hieroglyphics. Interesting seeing all the old occupations represented, weavers, tailors, shipwrights, sailors, colliers, masons etc.

The kirkyard was locked with the key available at a local cafe, which was a good excuse for a snack when we handed the key back.
