Conquest of Barnicoat

Nothing like an early start (goodbye summer time) and cool,  overcast conditions to make assault#2 on the local maunga, Barnicoat.  Having made it part way up a couple of weeks ago I was motivated to summit today haha!  It took time but I got there still with air in my lungs and energy in my legs.   Woohoo!!  Quick pic to record the event here (I carried my big camera up with me but haven't looked at the pics yet)...... first light spits of mizzle felt as I left the top......... full on rain as I almost arrived at the bottom.  Home to a hot shower,  a lovely coffee and a feeling of satisfaction........ now feeling drained!!
