Mostly Six Five Oh

Backblip. An apt term at the moment as my back is behaving badly and I just couldn't deal with uploading this last night. So backblip it is.

Took a lot of mundane shots today. This was taken while waiting for the light signal to change at the intersection of NE 15th and NE Fremont. Billy Grippo is a big real estate presence around this neighborhood and for some reason his last name has inspired a series of fantastical stories that we add to whenever we see one of his ads. We've never met Mr Grippo, it's just one of those silly things. These stories all started a few years ago with our friend C who was visiting from Palo Alto. We were walking through the neighborhood when we passed his name prominently posted on a for sale shingle staked in front of a house, C was "gripped" by the name and that was that. Whenever I see Grippo's name I laugh and think of C.

The two boxes you see near both benches are makeshift trash cans placed there by the homeowner behind the fence, there's no municipal trash can provided here so this thoughtful neighbor deals with the bus stop users' leavings themselves.
