Saturday...
...didn't begin anywhere near early as intended. A much welcome late video natter with Ms.Arell the previous night ended with her procrastinating on whether or not to ride out to an open day at a motorcycle dealers in Glasgow. Was brill to receive a message after noon to hear that she had made it, even having a sit on one of Biscuit's brethren!
Back on the horse in the bathroom involved some shenanigans that resulted in the ceiling being boarded over with fancy insulated plasterboard. As it only comes in 8 ft by 4ft sheets I had hired a nifty lifting device to assist. There is a benefit in that with two big sheets, it would be easier to level out the imperfections of the old ceiling with the resulting voids being filled with foam adhesive.
It was still a pain of a job though, from getting the sheets upstairs and into the bathroom, trimming them and lifting them onto the lift. The lift did make the installation much more manageable though even if it did take ages. My parents helped too, dashing on a last minute mission to Screwfix for another can of foam!
Am having a day off tomorrow. The walls should be much easier.
