Bluebell woods

This is colour variation 2 of this watercolour painting. The light green in the background of the original one was far too warm, giving it an autumnal feel rather than a fresh spring like one. It is based on an exercise in Harriet De Winton’s book A year of watercolour. As a learning process it was interesting to work on a more detailed landscape than sometimes, but I’m not sure that this will be my preferred style as I gain more confidence in the medium. But that’s why we try different approaches to learn our craft !
