Edinburgh Castle

A very grey and misty start to the day. The mist is reluctant to leave. Occasionally it gets very dark, and the other side of the road disappears. Towards lunchtime, it finally starts to clear. Not totally though. The blip shows Edinburgh Castle, which appears to have had a bit of a whitewash. A few moments after the photo has been taken, it has turned very dark and menacing. Higher up, there is just a hint of Fife lying under a very dark cloud.

After work a walk up the Braid Hills. There is more sunshine, and views of Edinburgh landmarks are fairly clear. To the west a feint outline of Ben Ledi and a darker Dumyat can be seen on the horizon, as can been seen in the Extra showing Craighouse and Easter Craiglockhart Hill. To the east, no visible sign of North Berwick Law or Bass Rock.
